The Commission has jurisdiction over all Virgin Islands justices, judges and magistrates, all defined as judges by the Commission rules. It does not have jurisdiction over court employees, administrative law judges or federal judges. The Commission's authority and powers are derived from Supreme Court Rule 209 and it regulates judicial conduct that violates the Code of Judicial Conduct adopted by the Supreme Court, and for physical disability or infirmity.
